All-Region & All-State

2020-2021 All Region Cheerleader Information

Varsity cheerleading coaches who are current members of the NCCCA may nominate up to THREE juniors from their cheer team for All Region. If a coach is not a member or nominates more than three juniors, the nominations will not be considered. SINCE TEAMS ARE UNABLE TO REGISTER AT THIS TIME FOR THE NCCCA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS, NOMINATING THREE JUNIORS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR THE 2020-2021 SEASON ONLY. NEXT SEASON WE WILL RETURN TO THE POLICY OF TWO NOMINATIONS, WITH AN ADDITIONAL NOMINEE EARNED WITH A PAID REGISTRATION TO THE NCCCA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP BY THE REQUIRED DEADLINE.

Nominated cheerleaders should complete the following to be eligible for 2021 All Region Team selection:

1. 2021 All Region Application – COACH WILL COMPLETE THE ONLINE GOOGLE FORM.  Click HERE to complete the form.
2. Headshot – MAIL
3. $10 Application fee (Checks made payable to NCCCA) – MAIL
4. 2021 Skills Video – COACH WILL UPLOAD TO GOOGLE FORM.

Please label video files with Cheerleader Name and School Name. You may upload up to 5 separate videos to the Google Form.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS – Video links for the below skills will be available at www.cheernc.com.  Applicants must learn and perform:

• ALL REGION TRYOUT CHANT (Click HERE for the video)
• ALL REGION TRYOUT DANCE (Click HERE for the video)
• ALL REGION STUNT SEQUENCE – DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS, NO STUNT SEQUENCE REQUIRED FOR 2020-2021

SKILLS OF CHOICE FOR EACH APPLICANT – In addition to the above, applicants  must also perform the following:

• JUMP SERIES – two or more jumps connected, one jump being a toe-touch
• STANDING TUMBLING – on gym floor with no mat (Jumps may be included to increase the difficulty of standing series)
• RUNNING TUMBLING – on gym floor with no mat

** If there are multiple nominees from the same school, they may video together and do not have to make separate, individual videos. If you do multiple cheerleaders in the same video, please have them introduce themselves so we may better distinguish each athlete. You may upload the same video to each nominee’s form.

Coaches, be careful as the season gets underway that you do not let time slip up on your athletes and miss out on nominations.

CHEERLEADERS SELECTED TO THE 2021 ALL REGION TEAM ARE ELIGIBLE TO TRYOUT FOR THE 2021

ALL STATE TEAM. TRYOUTS FOR THE 2021 ALL STATE TEAM WILL BE HELD AT A DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED.

All applicants and nominating coaches will be notified of the All Region Team. All Region Cheerleaders will be recognized at the 2021 NCCCA State Championships.
